Redefining Landscape Architecture
The historied landscape architecture firm RHAA has a legacy of designing memorable spaces tailored to the human experience. RHAA approached Noise 13 to revamp their brand identity and develop a collateral system that would reflect the care and passion that comes through in their work.
RHAA’s goal to stand out as a creative leader who pushes boundaries and sets trends guided our approach, resulting in a dynamic, modern look that stands out in the field. To set RHAA apart in the competitive landscape architecture space, we crafted a custom wordmark with structural elements inspired by architectural details. Triangular cuts in the shoulders of the letterforms are suggestive of structures that appear on architectural plans. We expanded on this concept by using a diagonal rule, reminiscent of the division of space and pathways placed within the landscape. These triangular cuts and diagonal lines are carried across the rest of the brand system, creating a cohesive visual identity.
Monoline patterns, inspired by natural materials like wood, water, and grasses, add visual interest while remaining abstract. A modest color palette was selected to mirror the hues of these elements, further enhancing the connection to nature.
The updated brand system reflects RHAA's expertise, creativity, and commitment to crafting spaces that connect with and enhance communities.
