Craft Meets Sustainability
When Clif Family approached Noise 13 to refresh their packaging and launch their new Mangia! food subscription box, we were thrilled to collaborate with a fellow B Corp that shares our values of sustainability, transparency, and positive impact—both on the planet and within the community.
Our goal was to capture Clif Family's adventurous, playful spirit while celebrating their Napa Valley roots and dedication to community—creating a fresh, modern look that would appeal to a younger audience without losing connection with loyal customers. Beyond the tasting room, Clif Family's products and subscription box needed to stand out—whether on specialty grocer shelves, airport displays, or doorstep deliveries.
For Mangia!, we designed a visual identity that balanced artisanal heritage with vibrant energy—featuring an expressive logotype, a vivid color palette, and a fun tagline that showcased the delicious flavors inside. Whimsical illustrations—like the now-iconic farmer bee delivering farm-fresh flavors by bicycle—add charm and approachability, reinforcing the brand’s welcoming spirit.
For Clif Family's broader packaging system, we focused on creating consistency across product lines while maintaining a sense of craft. Clear information hierarchy, dynamic typography, and textural illustrations of key ingredients like citrus, nuts, and olives reinforced the premium quality of their products. We also updated Clif Family’s photography guidelines to embrace a brighter, more approachable style that complements the new design.
The refreshed system is a bold expression of who Clif Family is today—delivering the deliciousness of Napa while putting people, planet, and community first.
