Craft Meets Sustainability

When Clif Family approached Noise 13 to reimagine their packaging and develop a fresh look for their food subscription box, Mangia!, we were thrilled to collaborate with a brand that shares our values around sustainability, transparency, and being a force for good. As fellow B Corps, we were in lockstep with their vision for a creative revamp that could inspire and connect with their evolving audience.

The goal was to embrace Clif’s adventurous and playful spirit while celebrating their Napa Valley roots. The packaging and subscription box needed to appeal to a broader, younger audience while staying true to the brand’s artisanal products.

or Mangia!, we crafted a design that celebrated the brand’s artisanal roots while bringing a fresh energy. The tasty logotype, vibrant color palette, and fun tagline expressed the deliciousness of the products inside. Charming illustrations, along with the now-iconic farmer “bee” delivering farm-fresh flavors by bicycle, added a whimsical, approachable touch to this seasonal subscription box.

Meanwhile, the packaging design focused on creating a cohesive system that could bring consistency across product lines. We strategically developed clear navigation tools for different SKUs, anchored by consistent yet dynamic typography and vibrant color palettes. Organic, textural illustrations highlighted key ingredients like citrus, nuts, and olives, reinforcing the premium quality of Clif’s products.

The resulting system is a bold, beautiful expression of who Clif Family is today. Beyond the tasting room, Clif’s products and subscription box needed to stand out—whether on specialty grocer shelves, airport displays, or doorstep deliveries. The updated look practically jumps into your hands with bright, appetizing colors and delightful illustrative details. We also updated Clif’s photography guidelines, achieving a brighter, more approachable style reflective of their brand evolution.

This collaborative effort resulted in packaging and a subscription box that authentically reflects Clif Family’s purpose, celebrating their craft and commitment to sustainability. The refreshed design system positions the brand for the future, connecting meaningfully with loyal customers and new audiences alike."
