Launching a Street-Savvy Cannabis Brand
Skunk Factory, a Bay Area-based brand of premium medical cannabis products, approached Noise 13 to develop packaging for their handheld vape kits, cartridges, and upcoming flower line. With a vision to become a premier cannabis brand, Skunk Factory sought a cohesive and elevated design that would differentiate their products in California's increasingly competitive cannabis market.
Drawing from their established street-style identity—graphic, stealthy, and slick—we expanded on their unapologetic ethos to appeal to trend-forward, design-savvy consumers aged 25+. This audience, confident tastemakers at the intersection of culture, fashion, and cannabis, inspired a packaging system that reflects Skunk Factory’s attitude and ambition.
Balancing creative flair with the complexities of cannabis regulations, we created a sleek, versatile design using uncoated black paper stock with a high-contrast palette of black, white, and metallic silver. Pops of bright, glossy colors, inspired by caution tape and streetwear motifs, added vibrancy, ensuring the packaging remained fresh and culturally relevant.
The new packaging embraces the brand's Get Loud tagline, channeling its bold energy into a striking, tasteful design that captivates their target audience.
