Making Functional Delicious
OSO Ferments is so much more than a CPG company offering functional products. They are historians, scientists, and deeply passionate about creating food that benefits your entire system. The challenge was to craft a brand personality and design a visual identity and packaging system that would stand out in the crowded functional beverage space while communicating their unique story.
At the client’s request, the designs needed to communicate one key message: OSO Ferments works and tastes great. We brought this to life by creatively playing with typography, using the name itself to highlight the product’s deliciousness and its effectiveness. To ensure the packaging was as visually compelling as it was informative, we selected a bright, food-forward color palette to highlight the natural appeal of the product. Handcrafted stamps inspired by Japanese art add a personal touch, honoring the founder’s background in sake brewing and his journey to create healthy, fermented beverages. The result is a bold, appetizing design system that speaks to both the product’s purpose and its flavor, making a standout statement on the shelf.
